Our Factories
Our factories play a key role in our sustainability efforts. That’s why we have developed a Code of Conduct, along with a Product Material Appendix, which all suppliers must sign in addition to our supplier agreements.
Our Code of Conduct sets requirements for all our suppliers regarding working conditions, human rights, safety, non-discrimination, and anti-corruption, as well as environmental standards, chemical management, product safety, and packaging.
Our factories are located in Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Jiaxing, China. We have been working with our main factory since the very beginning of ADOORE. This long-standing partnership has allowed us to build a strong, reliable collaboration—ensuring we uphold the highest standards together. Read more about our main factory here.
To uphold fair labor practices, we visit our factories at least once a year. These regular visits allow us to ensure compliance with our strict standards for working conditions, safety, and environmental responsibility while actively supporting on-site improvements. They also help us build strong, long-term relationships with our partners.
Our Materials
We are continuously working towards incorporating materials with as little impact on nature as possible and are committed to a long-term journey of developing and offering more alternatives. To bring transparency to this process, we have created a Product Material Appendix, outlining our goals and timelines for the materials we will prioritize moving forward, in close collaboration with our suppliers. The Product Material Appendix also includes animal welfare requirements for animal materials to ensure that making the materials for our products doesn’t cause any suffering.
While synthetic materials offer unique benefits, they also come with challenges. Their production requires large amounts of chemicals, and they can release microplastics that harm the environment. That’s why at ADOORE, we are actively working to reduce the use of synthetic materials in our future collections.
When synthetic materials are necessary, we prioritize recycled alternatives over virgin ones, preferably certified by the Recycled Content Standard (RCS) or the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Our ultimate goal is for our recycled materials to be textile-to-textile recycled.

Our Packaging
We strive to reduce our environmental impact from packaging:
- Our poly-bags are made from 100% recycled plastic.
- Our shipping bags are made from FSC-certified paper from Scandinavian forests, produced in Swedish paper mills, and manufactured using 100% green energy.
- Our shipping boxes are made from FSC-certified paper.

Other
We know that our industry puts a strain on the planet’s resources. That’s why we are committed to extend the life of our products.
- To reduce our carbon footprint, we prioritize sea freight over air freight whenever possible. For our upcoming SS25 collection, 89% of our products have been transported by boat.
- We never destroy or discard defective items. Instead, we repair them and offer them at a reduced price during our sample sales.
- We work hard to minimize waste by creating new products from leftover fabrics from our production. For example, check out these products: Aurora Medium Beauty Bag and Aurora Scrunchie.
- We cover dry cleaning or tailoring costs to repair defective items to reduce returns and prolong the life of the clothes. Once a month, you can bring your garment to our store in MOOD Stockholm for free repairs by a tailor.
